Most managed buildings require a booked lift window, a CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE naming the building as additional insured, lift protection pads, and use of a designated loading area rather than the front door. Some restrict move days and hours entirely. Tell us the building when you book and we will get its requirements in advance rather than negotiating with a desk at 8am.
It happens constantly in Downtown and Koreatown, and the answer is planned rather than improvised. Where a full-size truck cannot enter, we shuttle from a smaller vehicle between the building and the truck. Knowing that in advance means it is priced in the estimate instead of becoming an argument on the day.
Stairs add time per item, so a third-floor walk-up is a materially different job from a ground floor with a driveway. A lift helps, but a single shared lift in a busy building can be slower than two flights of stairs, especially if the window is short.
