And the area trades into the early hours, so deliveries, refuse collection and valet operations compete for the kerb through the day. In the hills, narrow switchbacks and driveways cut into the slope often stop a full-size truck from turning or parking. There a smaller vehicle shuttles between the house and a truck parked legally below. It adds cost and time, and we say so in the estimate rather than on the day.
