Ask any international mover to state explicitly what is and is not inside their door-to-door price, because the term is used loosely across the industry.
You are, ultimately, and any mover telling you otherwise is simplifying something that matters. We prepare and lodge the documentation and work with clearing agents at the destination, but duties, taxes and any inspection charges levied by the destination country are the shipper's liability. Rules on what may be imported, and what attracts duty, vary enormously by country and change. We will tell you what we know and where you need the destination's own guidance rather than guessing on your behalf.
For sea freight, typically weeks, with the sailing being only part of it: collection, export handling, the voyage, clearance and inland delivery all add time, and consolidated shipments add more. Air is days for the flight but still longer door to door. We give a realistic window rather than a date, because port congestion and customs inspection are genuinely outside our control and pretending otherwise helps nobody.

Pets are not something we handle: that is a specialist pet relocation service, and we will say so rather than taking on something outside our competence. International freight is priced on volume or weight, so moving furniture that is cheap to replace at the destination routinely costs more than the furniture is worth.
