Sherwood Lake Club stands at 341 Williamsburg Way around Lake Sherwood itself, a separate gated community from Sherwood Country Club on West Stafford Road and not another name for it, with its own Nicklaus Design golf course. Homes sit on the lakefront and on the hillsides above it, reached by private roads inside the gate. Both clubs fall within Ventura County's Lake Sherwood and Hidden Valley Area Plan, which routes traffic on Potrero Road, Stafford Road and Westlake Boulevard and keeps Carlisle Road for emergency access only, so that is not an approach a truck can plan to use.

The constraint at the Lake Club is the last stretch to the door. Private roads around the water are narrow, turning room is limited and many properties have a long approach that ends in a small parking area. A full-size truck may be able to get through the gate but not turn or stand near the house, so at the estimate we look at road width, turning points, grade and the space by the door, and decide whether the job runs from a larger truck or as a shuttle from a smaller vehicle staged where the association allows. That shuttle is quoted as the planned method with its time in the price, not improvised on the day. The association's own rules on truck size, move-in windows and insurance documents govern what can come in, and crew names and vehicle details go to the gate ahead of time. Beyond the gate the area is unincorporated Ventura County, where county roads are handled by Ventura County Public Works and oversized vehicle enforcement is the California Highway Patrol.
